Natubella IS electROCKnica

I had the pleasure to see Robyn live @ Circus, Stockholm last night. She was presenting her latest work “Body Talk”.

Her show: Terrific! A party full of energy. She is unstoppable on the stage. Loved it!

Her band, amazing as well, with my friend and producer Povel Olsson in the main drums.

The party continued in back stage after the show. We hang out, shared drinks, talk and laugh! Upcoming future collaborations between Natubella & Robyn? why not!

PC or Mac, that’s the question, would have said a modern William Shakespeare, right? But seriously,  to make a difference in a slideshow for one of my songs, which would have been the best?? My rookie question bothered me while I was staring at the white threatening device… I was resisting the idea, but my old Compaq is too rusty to make a good results. So, what the hell! I opened the tempting white apple and I let myself go!

Hours after that and having lost the sense of time, I keep working on it, and I am sure it will be awesome. SO this quick note ends here, my creativity is still hungry, I need to keep working .

I will post some unfinished version here first so you can tell me if I am on the right path (and please be gentle, I am not an expert in this area!).

LSDA & Natubella

I read in a magazine that they were touring and they were coming here to Stockholm and I couldn’t help to remember when I was part of LSDA and we shared stage with them. It was not only a magical night, but an honour for us to be part of that big festival and play before them. It’s not necessary clarify that our performance was great and the audience loved Fernando Montemurro’s work (Creator of LSDA and also a good friend and one of the producer of “Little Devil“)

Going back to Massive Attack, they have been always great influence, so as you can imagine, I couldn’t hold myself and I bought tickets for the event (no way I was gonna miss it). Nordic king was dragged with me (he has no choice as I have been attending , hehe!).

The show was superb. They played a lot of “oldies” which I personally love and the gig was entertaining, lively and with an impeccable  aesthetic. The lighting and the images were elaborated and fit perfectly with the songs and what they wanted to communicate. “Tear drop” version, was flawless!

I would have liked to have a better camera with me, but I only had my phone… so the pictures are not the best, but will give you an idea of how it was.

I also added some pictures of 2006, when we performed in the same festival than them.

Attending Massive Attack show, this time on the other side of the stage!

My Saturday started late… as you already know I am a creature of the night, therefore my days end really late (or early depending on the point of view) and start close to midday (rock & roll life style, yeah!). We woke up fast, dressed quickly and run to meet another of my friends/producer Lars Nyström. It was his Birthday so we invited him to have lunch with us (Nordic King & me). We had a sleepy wonderful brunch in a lovely place of Stockholm.

After that and referring to the title, Nordic king and me went to the beautiful park Skansen full of Swedish animals and typical old farms.

Beautiful weather, nice scenery and great company! What else would you ask?!

After one hour of nature we run back home in a picturesque rail-car (rail-buss). We arrived right on time to baked some home made pizzas (yeah! I made them! I love cooking) and we got ready for the football game: Denmark vs Sweden (Sweden lost so there are no chances for them to go to the world cup Let’s see how Argentina behaves!).

Friday night, not much plans until I received a msg from my friend/producer Povel Ohlsson inviting me to a gig where he was playing.

The artist he was playing with is Johan Kinde, a Swede singer/songwriter that had his shinny moment in the late 70s’ when he was part and head of a pop band named Lustans Lakejer.

The show was interesting and the audience even better! (but I keep that for myself ). He is presenting  his new work, though I can say that he played some “oldies” due to his fan’s reactions.

Everyone had a great time! And Povel, impeccable in the drums as usual.

I have a ladies day tomorrow (a friend is getting married so we will do a bachelorette “party” for her, sort of…).

The girls that organized the day have picked to start with a Gokart race… the thing is that they don’t know I am reaaaally good!

I have actually driven formula 1! So I guess we all know who will win tomorrow

Anyway, after that, a photoshooting and then more partying! I will show some pictures in the next post!

back to work!

I have been gone for some days. I needed it. I was exhausted and I am still, but some days away allowed me to relax and to recover some energy. People don’t realize, but if you don’t stop the routine from time to time, work and life in general become sticky and not 100% productive!

Fortunately I could take some days off (I said almost, because I will not lie, I worked a bit :/ ) and I visited the south of Sweden (Malmo to be exact) and Copenhagen!  Beautiful places, warm weather and lovely company!

I wanted to dedicate some words to Povel Ohlsson, one of my Swedish producer, excellent musician and great guy.

It was his Birthday during the weekend and when I called him to sign “Happy Bday”! he was on a train on his way to Stockholm… This guy is soooo busy!

He works in so many projects! Amazing…  some of the other bands he work with are:

So, going back to Povel, I wanted to thank him for all and wish to him happiness and love! (and money, hehe)

I was sleepless last night… even though I was dead tired, I couldn’t help thinking and planning the photo shooting of the next day. Checking mentally if I had all prepared. Clothes… 3 outfits, accessories, shoes. Was all there? Nooooo, some stuff were missing! Damn! Meant that I also had to wake up earlier and with the clock ticking!

Good news anyway: I managed to do it all, sleep, shop and pictures! IUPIIIIIIII!

I arrived to the studio with my manager, a bit late but it wasn’t a problem at all. The girls there treated me like a princess! They did my make up and my hair and they made me wait for the photographer… we didn’t have a good start with her, I must admit… but we handled it fine (thx to my manager) and we did a good job the 3 of us!

I am happy with the results, I hope you like the pictures too…
