“Paparazzi” by Greyson Michael Chance

May 12th, 2010 Natubella No comments

I have not much to say except two things, I regained my interest in You Tube (yes, I was kinda bored about it lately) and I found another amazing performance there…

Enjoy this little but greatly talented kid (12 years old! damn, I am so envious!) performing in a piano an exquisite version of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”:

Christina Aguilera “Not myself tonight” any resemblance with Lady Gaga’s videos???

May 4th, 2010 Natubella 6 comments

I have read somewhere that they referred to her like Christina Gagalera… and they insinuate that she had tried to copy the Lady in a desperate attempt of getting more attention… What I think is that if you cannot beat them, just join them, right? (what’s the point of reinventing the wheel) And Xtina did something like that with her new release “Not Myself Tonight”… but not copying the whole formula, not. If I have to point some differences I would say that Christina Aguilera is much commercial and Lady Gaga is more edgy when it comes to define her videos… but watch for yourself!

I-Beat: first blog about Argentinian electronic music!

April 18th, 2010 Natubella 12 comments

I was interviewed by Fernando and Federico, the creators of a cool new Argentinian blog about electronic music: I-BEAT . They state they are the first ones on develop such a thematic blog about Argentinian electronic music.

You will find articles about everything related to the genre, not only artists! Here is a brief description of how they came up with such idea and what is their work about:

“Ibeat was born when we, Federico and Nando, friends,  found out that there was not a magazine or site specialized in Argentinian electronic music.
” – The first idea was to create a kind of digital magazine, with issues like software, hardware, events, interviews and more. Then we realized that it was a difficult job, so we started our work as a blog instead.

” – Our goal is to give information about electronic music from all around the globe, but specially from Argentina.

” – We write an amount of 45 post per month about new hardware and software, releases, events, producers, Djs and live shows.

“The blog was targeted on Spanish readers first, but due to the increasing amount of visitors from all over the world we have just started a new site, which includes most of the posts but this time in English.”

So check the blog out and as I always say, take your own conclusions!

No, my interview is not there yet, but soon it will be! so I’ll let you know ;)

Wahlström & Valiant – electro-breakbeat – “Keep up” new video!

April 7th, 2010 Natubella 1 comment

I discovered the Swedish 2 formation band, Wahlström & Valiant a while ago when I stumbled upon one of its cool videos “2 Button Love“  (computer games theme).

The music this two guys do is amazing and their videos even better!

As I always say, words are not enough sometimes, so listen and watch for yourselves.

Fancy good electronic tango? go for “Buenos Aires Tango Beat” + free download!

When you see this sign, look for a download link at the bottom of the post.

You will get a free song of the artist I wrote about!!

—————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Trip hop, low fi,  live accordion lines, guitar, singer and dancers all united in a 2/4 concept that brings Tango out of the box!

Let’s fantasize, let’s think of Astor Piazzola and  Roberto Goyeneche teaming up with Portishead or Morcheeba… the result? No fantasy but a reality!  BUENOS AIRES TANGO BEAT, the superb project of Fernando Montemurro (yes, he was one of the producers of Little Devil ;) ).

“This project was born at the beginning  of 2000.  Fernando Montemurro is the head behind it, who using machines, synthesizers, and samplers and mixed them up together with bandoneons melodies and tipical sounds of classic tango created this sound that will take you throught a new musical experience…”

The album shares the same name as the project and it was released in 2009. It has 12 marvelous tracks and it had received excellent reviews from all over the world (by the way, the female voices you hear in some of the tracks  it’s me!!!).

Check his sites for more info:  MyspaceFacebook

And listen for yourself to get your own conclusions.

Oh! and be ready because Fernando is taking his Tango show back to the European summer this July!

Rodrigo Moratto’s new single release “Whatever, Whatever”

March 23rd, 2010 Natubella 5 comments

Remember when I went to London and I played in the EQ live party?  I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with another talented artist there, the sexy Brazilian soloist: Rodrigo Moratto. His charisma, great voice and sex appeal hypnotized the audience (guys and girls equally! Me included :P ) and his flirty electro-pop set the dance-floor on fire… what else could you ask, right??

If you want to have some of his music, you can find his new cool single “Whatever, Whatever” available in Itunes for download now.

It will be included in his upcoming album: “Budz In A Sound Drop” which will be released in a near future and it is as great as this single. I will keep you posted about it otherwise you can also find more info in his Myspace.

See him in action and after the show with me (a tiny pic! LOL).

Tecnoctitlan electro-pop-rock duet with latin blood

March 13th, 2010 Natubella 1 comment

I am so happy because I had the pleasure to share the stage with such talented bands/artists when I was in UK last February.

Tecnoctitlan was one of those bands that was also in the line up of EQ live party.

This  two piece formation literally rocked the stage and our ears! It was amazing!

With a rock-glam look, the sexy bitches (as they have been called, with justice) brought the house down in a short but very effective electro-pop-rock set…  yes! they had me wanting for more!

Milena in vocals and guitar,  Ariel in keyboards, vocals and programming and as a special guest, Laura Fares (Sam Sparro and Disco Damage) who played the drums with perfection, they were a great combination for the night (and the best is that the 3 of them are from Argentina, hehe).

I suggest that you check Tecnoctitlan myspace so you can read all about them, listen to their music and be alert for their upcoming release “The Feathered Snake” EP

Here you can see them in action:

EQ Trax, new blog to download free electronic music!

March 6th, 2010 Natubella 4 comments

As you know, one of the parties where I played last time I was in London, was organized by Electroqueer blog or EQ. The blog is wonderful, full of news, releases and articles about the electronic-pop music world (I highly recommend it). Raj Rudolph is one of the responsibles of the blog. A really hard worker that loves what he does (if you start following the blog, you will understand why). I can tell that he is always looking for new ways to improve his work and please EQ followers and what he has done recently proves my point. Check it out, a new blog to download free electro-pop music (with the permission of the artists, of course)!

Lastly! One picture of Raj and me after the show in EQ Live party celebrated in Bar Music Hall, London, last February:

Black Sabbath » electROCKnica » Natubella = deadly combination!

November 22nd, 2009 Natubella 1 comment

My N.I.B cover brought up attention and some controversy, of course!

As you know I put up my new song in my Facebook fan page but only for some days, just to test how would it work and what my fans feel about me covering big artist that is far from my own style, like Black Sabbath.

It provoke some controversy among a small group of people, probably big fans (to the guts!) of Black Sabbath who without even giving me or my N.I.B. version a chance, they just complaint about me going into sacred ground… C’mon! Be open minded will never hurt and then if u still don’t like my music (it’s all about a matter of taste) let the aggression aside and leave in peace, right? :)

Anyway, they were a small group as I said. The rest of you had a great response and gave me good feedback, a lot of support and encouraged me to continue in the same path and that’s what makes me happy, MAKE YOU happy! :D

What’s next? well, there are a lot of plans, remixes, videos, gigs, etc, so keep ears, eyes and mind open.

Love,

Natu

Garage bands

April 3rd, 2009 Natubella No comments

Have you seen that site? Well it’s a site for indie artists to get some feedback about their music. I put the song TDG there and started to get reviews. I wasn’t sure what to categorize the song as,  since they haven’t the choice of electROCKnica :P , so it’s added in a competition for alternative rock. Well check the reviews from the people on garage bands here. (P.S. I had to register myself as “1_Natubella” to be able to use my name…  just if you wonder why it looks wierd there….

First review of the album – wow!

March 9th, 2009 Natubella 1 comment

I got an email from the UK pr guy, Liam, and he brought some great news: The first album review!

“Title track Little Devil shows us what a little master of rock electronica we have in the making…..”

“Listenable, tight and extremely well produced, Natubella has the aptitude and understanding of the current music scene to make her mark.”

Excellent review!
