As you already know my stay in London was due to several gigs I was performing there.

One of them was in the Electroqueer live party, a cool gathering of live bands, dj and hungry ears that was organized by the lovely blogger Raj Rudolph. The party was a complete success! But better than my words, check here EQ’s article about that day :)

I will be posting more pictures and news about the rest of my trip soon, so keep your eyes open! :D

SHH an electronic pop-Buenos Aires style band

February 1st, 2010 Natubella 4 comments

I like to recommend this band to you. Their name is Shh and the members are Diana Huarte and Daniel Gorostegui. They are from Argentina though they are also based in London.

Their electronic pop is unique but instead of trying to describe them in a clumsy way I rather use a paragraph that I found on the Internet and reflects the spirit of this band perfectly!

“SHH is electronic pop-Buenos Aires style. Hailing originally from party city Buenos Aires, SHH creates stylish, intelligent electronic pop that’s cramed with big tunes and rampages through everything from Italo to indie, house to punk, all delivered by vocalist Di, a blond bombshell collision between Grace Jones, Lady Gaga and Iggy Pop”

They have released 2 records already with a small record label from Argentina: Oui Oui records. They are starting a small tour in London and Spain to promote the second album: “Gaucho Boy”, so if you are interested in new sounds and you are around, go and watch them playing live, you’ll enjoy the party.

Here are the dates of their tour:

February 3rd Water Monto Rats, London.

February 5th Bar Uxoa, Hondarribia.
February 6th Club Nicolette, Pamplona.
February 8th Radio 3, Madrid.
February 9th Club Costello, Madrid.
February 13th Festival of Sins, London.

For more info you can find them in SHH Myspace and SHH Facebook.

Vile Electrodes, in London – Hoxton Lab, EXS Party!

January 19th, 2010 Natubella No comments

My friend Diana Huarte, lead singer of SHH (I will tell you more about them later on), took me to a cool party when I was in London.

The party was great! It’s name: EXS , organized by Hoxton lab.

I met the DJ that played that night, Kate Way, a red haired beauty that put groove and glam to the dance floor and then I saw the show of  Vile Electrodes… But instead of telling you about them, check it by yourselves:

And here, a picture of me and the singer Anais Neon after the show:

I stumble upon Martin Stenmarck in Hallonbergen centrum!

December 16th, 2009 Natubella 4 comments

What a small world! You know that we stars are always busy busy gravitating in the galaxy, right? Well, this time my gravitation was more like a race against the clock,  coz I was running late (for a change) and I stumble upon another Swedish colleague, Martin Stenmarck. He was about to start a show in a small commercial center located in Hallonbergen, Sundbyberg (Stockholm). The small galleria was crowded, full of young girls (I wonder why) as I have never seen it before! but I managed to say hi! and listen to one of his songs before I kept running (but next time I will jump on the stage as well! promised! :P ).

Here a coupe of pictures

Unisoul, amazing vocal choir rehearsing my songs!

December 7th, 2009 Natubella 1 comment

What a great experience to be surrounded by an huge vocal choir (80 persons)!!! and all together singing one of my songs along with me!!! Tomorrow is the day! I will meet UNISOUL vocal choir and rehearse “Little Devil” song with them.

They have been actually working in another song of mine, “Keep it Simple” and they are planning to perform it in their annual presentation, in 2 weeks. The director of the Choir  Cecilia NedgÃ¥rd and the rest of the members invited me to participate in this presentation as well and of course I agreed but with one condition, that the choir sing with me!

We will film it, of course! So you all will be able to enjoy it as well

I’m going to rest now, I need to be fresh and relaxed tomorrow ;)

Gooddnight….

Metal season! meeting Joacim Cans, Hammerfall! Körslaget in the air…

November 26th, 2009 Natubella 1 comment

Music everywhere in this wonderful Nordic land! Metal, pop, hip-hop, electROCKnica wherever I go (this last one, of course! :P )

I was about to kick serious ass in my gym but before I needed to nourish my superpowers with a decent salad, so I headed down to the commercial center close home. Kista gallerian. It was crowded as hell, so I focused my sight and I discovered the reason. There was an enormous banner announcing the opening of the new area of Kista Gallerian. And they were celebrating it with a concert! This concert reunited a lot of Swedish artist that have participated in a tv show called körslaget.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay (my spoiled body was asking for pain!) but I had the pleasure of meeting 2 colleagues of mine. I have talked about one of them before, Rigo. The other one was Joacim Cans, frontman and singer of a metal band called HammerFall.

Fortunately Nordic king (who was the one to enlighten part of my life with me his metal fixation) was there with me so he took a picture of us!

After struggling with the programming, the electrorock show in the oven!

November 17th, 2009 Natubella No comments

In the verge of a stress fracture I had to call to my 911 help here in Sweden!

You know I was overwhelmed with work… preparing the show, learning a lot in a very short time (you know new programs, virtual instruments, etc) and with a lot of great projects ahead… it was too much! So I did what I have to do and I called Povel Ohlsson, the other of the producers of Little Devil and I asked for some help… He is a really reaaaaaaally busy guy and this time is the worst for him because he is traveling a lot, but he managed to get some free time for me!!!

That was a huge weight removed from my back, to be honest. I was feeling the pressure in a way that was hard for me to actually enjoy my work! And I love what I do… but sometimes it can be a mess.

But no more worries, he’ll help me out so I can also focus on the rest of the things that need to be done and I have the time to share them here with you! :P

And by the way, the cover is coooooming!!! yeaaaaaaah!

Lost in Cubase, logic pro, VTS and thousands of plugins!!!

November 9th, 2009 Natubella 2 comments

Remember how Bill Murray was completely upside down with the time and the language in “Lost in Translation”? That’s how I feel with the programming in my Mac!
My absence from the blog is because I have been preparing a different live set, instead of the full band format I used before. Now men (woman, actually) and machine will melt together to give an exciting musical experience… actually my brain is melting literally meanwhile I am preparing the set because it’s so muuuuch and hard work! LOL

Programs, plugins, interface, bmp, MIDI, headset, VTS and many more! Names that before they were just sounds in the producers mouths now they are my only focus of attention!
Thank God I’m not alone and my friend and one of the producers of the record, Fernando Montemurro is giving me remote support! But I might need more help… so start praying :P

That’s all for now. I promise I will write about the progress of this and I will keep you posted about the rest of my work.
