London, here I go again!
This time I will be performing at the Menagerie for the Oxjam Festival! Come and watch, a great line up will be presented within October 6th to the 8th.
Hey guys, don’t forget that I am playing at the Dark Mills Festival in London this Sunday!
I’ll meet you there, ok?
Meanwhile I keep working on the show… incredible how much previous work it entails and then it lasts almost nothing! I enjoy so much being on stage that time flies by when I am up there…
Anyway, I better keep working now!
Hugs.
Dark Mills Festival - September 4th & 5th - London
Meanwhile I preparing the next tour (London, Spain, Argentina) I found myself lost in some cool French electro! So this time I introduce you Yelle, a French band founded by lead singer and namesake, Yelle and GrandMarnier. A third member, Tepr, joined the band before the recording of their debut album. The band came to prominence when they posted an early version of the song “Je Veux Te Voir” on MySpace in September 2005, it later reached the top five in France. Their debut album “Pop-Up” was released in 2007.
I am so happy because I had the pleasure to share the stage with such talented bands/artists when I was in UK last February.
Tecnoctitlan was one of those bands that was also in the line up of EQ live party.
This two piece formation literally rocked the stage and our ears! It was amazing!
With a rock-glam look, the sexy bitches (as they have been called, with justice) brought the house down in a short but very effective electro-pop-rock set…Â yes! they had me wanting for more!
Milena in vocals and guitar, Ariel in keyboards, vocals and programming and as a special guest, Laura Fares (Sam Sparro and Disco Damage) who played the drums with perfection, they were a great combination for the night (and the best is that the 3 of them are from Argentina, hehe).
I suggest that you check Tecnoctitlan myspace so you can read all about them, listen to their music and be alert for their upcoming release “The Feathered Snake” EP
As you know, one of the parties where I played last time I was in London, was organized by Electroqueer blog or EQ. The blog is wonderful, full of news, releases and articles about the electronic-pop music world (I highly recommend it). Raj Rudolph is one of the responsibles of the blog. A really hard worker that loves what he does (if you start following the blog, you will understand why). I can tell that he is always looking for new ways to improve his work and please EQ followers and what he has done recently proves my point. Check it out, a new blog to download free electro-pop music (with the permission of the artists, of course)!
Whenever I go to another city, I feel like a small kid. I want to see, touch, buy, experience EVERYTHING!!!! And London fulfills that perfectly. It’s never enough time though because I am not a simple tourist, I work my ass off rehearsing and preparing the last details of the gigs I have and that leaves not much room for the rest… Nevertheless and between shows I managed to do some shopping and I went to see a MUSICAAAAAAL!!! Yes! I did and it was fantastic! Nordic King’s choice and a good one! We went with a mutual friend and the 3 of us laughed so much!!! Here some pictures of the play. Oh, and the musical was Avenue Q, in case you want to see it
